Green Packet Networks (GPN), a leading wireless broadband technology provider and Next Generation Mobile Solutions developer, recently announced that it had signed partnership agreements with three new partners in Bahrain. This is part of the effort to expand its Partners Program, a region-wide initiative that aims to boost profitability and enhance presence in high-growth areas.

The signing of the new partners which include Etisalcom (previously signed under basic understanding), Bahrain Advanced Technology Co. (BATEC) and Al-Muallim will improve GPN’s market penetration in Bahrain and will satisfy market demand for new generation networking solutions based on GPN's Self Organizing Network (SON) technologies.

"Green Packet Networks is delighted to establish an alliance with Etisalcom, BATEC and Al-Muallim, which we believe will greatly help us in targeting specific sectors in Bahrain. As GPN's growth program is anchored mainly on strengthening our local presence in key markets, our partnerships reflect our confidence in these three leading organisations' abilities to provide comprehensive market coverage for our products in view of the growing demand for next generation networking solutions," said Dr. Ali Al Mashat, Chairman of GPN.

GPN's SON wireless products offer flexible multimedia and Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) capabilities, while the ODMA (Opportunity Driven Multiple Access) technology enables wireless broadband connectivity at GSM type coverage with DSL/Cable data speeds and at a more competitive cost compared to most wireless solutions.

Etisalcom Bahrain is a key communications provider in the region, delivering innovative and customised solutions to various national and global telecoms and IT services needs. Al-Muallim will be GPN's crucial link to the education sector as it is the first Middle-Eastern online institute offering multi-learning solutions, providing clients live, online educational tools.

BATEC is a market leader in providing a range of technology solutions, including enterprise-class data, voice and video solutions; information systems and network security; industrial surveillance and access control solutions; and consultancy services in Bahrain and the greater Gulf region.

GPN, which was launched in Bahrain in February 2007, is a joint venture between Green Packet Berhad, a Malaysian-based technology company listed on the Main Board of Bursa Securities Malaysia Berhad; and Saudi Economic and Development Co. (SEDCO), a Saudi-based investment company.
