Gulf Air, the national airline of Kingdom of Bahrain, Sultanate of Oman and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), has introduced in-flight duty free products with the launch of its new PriceLess in-flight duty free campaign on February 8, 2003. The new service is delivered as part of its three-year strategic recovery program.

The new in-flight duty free proposition features a new look magazine and a range of 82 ‘PriceLess' products, said Gulf Air's head of in-flight services, Michael Kent. “Of these, six are being carried by Gulf Air in a worldwide first for any airline, and they include sunglasses, confectionary, skincare products, watches and cufflinks.”

The product range also includes jewelry, electronic merchandise, cosmetics, fragrances, accessories, confectionary, and children's items, among others, with brand names such as Versace, Escada, Christian Dior and Bally. Gulf Air's in-flight duty-free is operated by Aer Rianta International Middle East.

Pan-Gulf carrier Gulf Air was founded in 1950. The airline's network stretches from Europe to Asia and covers 43 cities in 32 countries. The fleet is one of the most modern in the Middle East and comprises 30 aircraft. The airline is in its first year of a three-year strategic recovery program, headed by President and Chief Executive James Hogan. — (menareport.com)
