Despite the prevailing circumstances in the region, the 15th Gulf Education and Training Exhibition (GETEX) will be held according to schedule from April 8-11, 2003, at the Dubai World Trade Center. This was announced at a press conference Wednesday, April 2, 2003, to highlight new developments in this year's event. The show will have over 300 exhibitors from 30 countries exhibiting a variety of educational diplomas, programs and courses.
"In view of the present circumstances, there has been tremendous international focus centered on the Gulf region. However, we would like to reiterate that the show will be taking place according to schedule, which is a reflection of Dubai's international reputation as an oasis of peace and a city that has always displayed a strong commitment to education." said David Domoney, Managing Director, International Conferences & Exhibitions, organizers of the show.
"With its strategic location as a gateway to a vast region with a huge potential in the educational sector, Dubai has proved to be an exceedingly lucrative market in the educational sector. In keeping with the success of last year's event, we aim to drastically increase the impact of the exhibition this year, with added participation from Germany, Netherlands and the national pavilions of UK, France and Malaysia.”
“With over 50,000 educational courses and training programs on offer, it is no wonder that the show is ranked as the leading event of its kind in the region. In addition, there will be an active program of seminars at the exhibition for parents as well as prospective students," he added.
