Gulf Extrusions, one of the largest aluminium extrusion plants in the Gulf, has announced the signing of several high-value deals with industrial sector companies in the UK, France, Germany and Holland to supply high quality aluminium profiles. The signing of these contracts – with companies in the transport, tents and automotive domain - is in line with Gulf Extrusions’ strategy of expanding its presence in the European market where the company has been supplying its profiles for the past several years.

“The demand for aluminium profiles from Europe’s industrial sector, specifically from transport and automotive companies, has been witnessing a steady increase in recent years, and Gulf Extrusions is keen on effectively capitalising on this. These contracts that we have signed with companies across Europe complement our plan to strategically strengthen our market position here, especially taking into account the value of some of the deals we have finalised. For instance, our contract with the German company is worth AED 20 million,” said Robert Holtkamp, Director of Sales and Marketing, Gulf Extrusions.

Gulf Extrusions, which is part of the Al Ghurair Group of Companies, produces profiles ranging from architectural sections to components for household items, AC grills and customised products. The company also extrudes products of several European suppliers and companies under agreement. Nearly 70 per cent of Gulf Extrusions' production is supplied to the domestic market to support the enormous construction projects in the UAE. The rest are exported to South East Asia, other GCC countries, Europe and Canada.
