Gulf-based holidaymakers, looking for environmentally-responsible tourism destinations, will find that Scotland and Wales rank among the very best locations in the world for such an experience, say executives with VisitBritain. The UK’s EcoEscape group offers travellers flexible tours doing a variety of activities, in a host of different locations, for varied budget levels.

From kayaking off the Welsh coast and whale watching in northern Scotland to cycling tours behind Loch Ness, Gulf residents are set to experience a whole new world of adventure in two UK countries most feel they already know quite well, according to Carol Maddison, VisitBritain’s Marketing Manager, UAE.

“Gulf residents love Britain for its culture, sport, food, entertainment, and shopping,” says Maddison, “but soon they will come to love it equally for its alternative, eco-friendly activity options.”

The eco experiences are meant to allow holidaymakers an opportunity to do what they love but also eat good food and stay in accommodation which ranges from cosy cabins to luxury, locally-owned B&Bs.
