Haydar Net to release of Arabic-support linux in April

Amsterdam-based Web services provider Haydar Net has announced April 15, 2002 as the date of the first beta release of Haydarlinux, which will be the first linux distribution that fully supports Arabic, and includes other programs that supports Arabic, according to a company press release. 

 

These programs will include an easy to use Linux installation, partition manager, X configuration, sound configuration, Haydar Windows manager, Haydar HTML editor, notepad, PPP program, Messager that supports ICQ, AOL and MSN, address book, Linux Windows manager such as Genome and KDE, simple drawing program, mail program, open office programs that can import MS Office documents, Wine, which can execute windows programs within Linux, IRC chat program and internet browsers such as Konqueror and Mozilla, all supporting Arabic and other languages. — (menareport.com)
