The Hertz Car Rental Company has decided to expand its services in Egypt's Red Sea resorts to accommodate the large number of Gulf tourists in the area.

Amercar, the Hertz franchisee in Egypt, has allocated more cars to its offices in the Red Sea resorts of Sharm El Sheikh and Hurghada. The Middle East News Online quoted Andy Johnson, General Manager of Amercar as saying the visitors from the Gulf and other parts of the world are coming back to Egypt in greater numbers, in particular to the resorts of Sharm El Sheikh and Hurghada.

"While a lot of people spend their time snorkeling, scuba diving, or relaxing by the pool, the Red Sea region holds a great deal of historical interest, we're sending more vehicles to the resorts to give families the chance to get out and explore the area," Johnson said.

Johnson said Hetez is offering the most comprehensive prepaid car rental bookings ever introduced by Hertz in the Middle East. The Hertz "World on Wheels" program, offers

attractive car rental rates, along with benefits like driver insurance, collision damage waiver and theft protection. "This system makes car rental very easy," Johnson said. He said customers traveling to Egypt from the United Arab Emirates or any other Gulf country this summer can book and pay for their car in US dollars before they travel.

Hertz "World On Wheels" rates can be booked through travel agent, or by calling the Hertz International Reservation Center or their local Hertz reservation center. The Middle East News Online said in addition to Sharm El Sheikh and Hurghada, Hertz cars are available at Cairo International Airport, Agouza, the Semiramis Inter-Continental, the Ramses Hilton, and Le Meridien Pyramids. –(Albawaba-MEBG)
