Iraqi Trade Minister Muhammad Mahdi Saleh recently declared that Egyptian products were in high demand in the Iraqi market, reported the Cairo-based MENA news agency. Egypt's exports to Iraq reached $1.62 billion in the first 11 months of 2001, up eight percent from $1.5 billion in the same period of 2000. Exports to Iraq include ready-made clothing, textiles, yarn, furniture, hand-woven carpets, handcrafts, perfumes, frozen vegetables, ceramics and granite. — (menareport.com)
