HP has announced the second quarter results for its Imaging and Printing Group (IPG) for the year 2004, securing a 27 per cent growth year on year in commercial imaging and printing products, a 20 per cent increase in consumer imaging and printing products and a 24 per cent increase in total hardware sales.
HPs Middle East market has been pin pointed as the best performing over the last few quarters, with no exception in the second quarter of 2004.
“HP IPG continues to enjoy strong growth and market share with the enterprise customers, especially in the government and oil and gas sector, despite tough competition, because of the overall quality of our end-to-end business solutions. We are leading the imaging and printing market with a strong IP portfolio of over 9,000 patents globally which continually provides a powerful, new and extended portfolio of continued innovation for every customers need, ” said Amr Hassan, general manager of HP IPG Middle East. “We have continued to maintain our number one position and this exceptional position is one that HP intends to hold for many years to come”.
HPs recent unveiling of several new colour printers for the business and consumer market has been followed by the launch of the new HP Photosmart R707 camera which brings vibrant colour and advanced technology to the home and business. Throughout the last quarters, HP has been continuing to provide new and superior printing and imaging solutions for in-house use while driving down the costs. Products have become faster and easy-to-use and offer a variety of options for sharing documentation. Due to the reliability of HPs technology and affordability, a number of the new printing and capture products are also particularly suited to small and medium sized businesses.
“This year sees HP celebrating 20 years of leadership in the inkjet and laser printing markets, and we will continue to make great progress in delivering our strategic growth and initiatives to our customers within this region,” concluded Hassan. (menareport.com)
