(Jordan Times) – HSBC has launched the HSBC Premier service in Jordan, the first premium global banking service for personal customers to be offered by HSBC.
It provides high value personal customers with a tailored range of products and services which make full use of the formidable financial strength and global reach of HSBC.
Speaking at a press conference at one of the dedicated HSBC Premier areas now open in Jordan branches of HSBC Bank Middle East, Robert Bray, CEO — Jordan, said: "This is a typical example of how the global reach of HSBC can be harnessed for our customers. Areas like the one in our Western Amman Branch will be found in over 50 dedicated Premier branches in the region and internationally. As an HSBC Premier customer, if you go to any branch of HSBC worldwide, you will be recognized and treated as a Premier customer."
Initially, HSBC Premier will be offered to up to 500,000 customers in Jordan, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, Argentina, Brazil, Brunei, Canada, Hong Kong Syria, India, Malaysia, Singapore, UK and USA.
The service will be designed around customers' requirements and will include a selection of the following features:
— A dedicated Relationship Representative to look after each customer's financial needs;
— Consolidated statements;
— HSBC's preferential rates on savings, loans and credit card accounts; including interest on current account.
— A priority 24-hour telephone service accessible from anywhere in the world;
— 50 dedicated HSBC Premier branches worldwide by the end of 2000;
— Free access to current account funds through any HSBC cash machine worldwide;
— Extensive global travel services, including commission-free currency and travellers cheques, and emergency travel recovery services;
— Free cheque encashment worldwide.
