Employees of Nakheel, the Middle East region’s premier property developer, came forward in large numbers to donate blood at a blood transfusion camp held at the Nakheel Sales and Marketing office.
The transfusion camp organised in association with the Blood Transfusion Department of the UAE Ministry of Health, complements Nakheel’s efforts in supporting the Ministry in their series of blood donation programs.
Ahmad Al Banna, Director, Human Resources, Nakheel, said, “As responsible corporate citizens, we at Nakheel recognise the importance of contributing to society in every possible way. This blood donation drive is not a one-time initiative; it is part of an ongoing effort by our employees who willingly come forward to support a worthy cause.
“Nakheel will continue to support the Ministry of Health in their blood donation programs, as it is vital to have ample blood stocks in the country’s blood banks, to ensure that those in urgent need of blood never have to suffer due to unavailability of sufficient blood.”
Dr. Amin Bin Hussein Al Amiri, Head of the Blood Transfusion Department, said, “We thank Nakheel and all its employees for turning out in such large numbers to donate blood. It was heartening to see the enthusiasm with which these donors took part in the campaign. The corporate sector can play a very important role in maintaining adequate blood stock levels in our blood banks.”
