IBM and its Middle East distributor, GBM, are planning to set up a training center in Bahrain. It will open in September, and during its first five years of operation will train 2,000 Bahrainis in information technology and e-commerce.
The announcement was made following a meeting of a joint IBM-GBM delegation, headed by Fareed Al-Mutawali, with the minister of labor and social affairs, Abdulnabi Al-Sho’ala.
Assisting in the training center project will be the Bahrain Training Institute.
GBM is the leading distributor of high volume IBM products and services, supporting computer retail outlets throughout the Middle East and Africa. ― (MENA Report)
