US-based Imaging Diagnostic Systems has received an order with a cash deposit for a breast cancer detector system from Axies Medical of Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The order was closed at the 28th Arab Health Conference held in Dubai from January 18-21, 2004. The order marks the second system sold in the UAE as a result of the company's participation as an exhibitor in the Arab Health Conference.
Called CTLM, the system is a patented breast-imaging system that utilizes laser technology and proprietary algorithms to create cross-sectional and 3-D images of the breast for the detection of cancer.
Imaging Diagnostic Systems is seeking PreMarket Approval (PMA) from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for its CTLM system to be used as an adjunct to mammography. The CTLM system is a non-invasive, painless examination that does not expose the patient to radiation nor require breast compression. — (menareport.com)
