Bangalore Labs, the Indian e-business and network solutions provider recently announced its entry into the Middle East market, with a regional office in the Dubai Internet City (DIC).

The company also intends to establish a Dh 3.67-million ($1 million) network operations centre (NOC) in the DIC. This facility will be operational by December, company officials disclosed. The NOC will be capable of remotely managing both network and enterprise, third-party networking devices and computing platform and mission critical applications,

including connectivity. Over the next year, Bangalore Labs will set up a Network an NOC, the first of its kind in India to operate on a global scale. Satellite NOCs are planned for Europe, the US, the Middle East and Asia-Pacific.

"In the Middle East the NOC will be based in Dubai, representing an investment of US $1 million; this will require additional space at DIC," remarked V. Natarajan, Bangalore Labs chief executive.

"We do not believe in doing business by remote control, and want to be close to our customers. The e-business and infrastructure solutions market in the Middle East is emerging fast, and our entry will help us respond quickly to the business needs of customers," he added.

"The creation of DIC is an indication of growth potential, and it makes business sense to be based here. Initially, we have committed to office space of 1,100 square feet," he added.

"We are in talks with leading regional companies to assist their evolution towards e-business models," said H.S. Shivkumar, Middle East business development manager.

"With the explosion of the Internet and the advent of e-commerce, organizations are facing a challenge to move into real-time business models. They have to manage information flow between suppliers, partners, customers and employees. We will offer to build, manage and enable networks," he said.

The company's Middle East operations will be managed by H.S. Shivkumar, Business Development Manager, Middle East. The company relayed that its initial business plan for the Middle East involves a year of business development and market education.
