According to <i>Al-Zzaman</i> newspaper, Mr. Issa Hadi, Head of Communication Department in the Iraqi District of Dhe Qar, said that the Minstry of Communication's companies have started the installation of a new ground telephone switching station in Nasiriyah with a capacity of 6,000 lines.
These companies has also started the installation of another three new ground telephone switching stations in Al-Dewaya, Al-Hemar and Ore. The per station capacity ranges from 200-1,000 lines. He added that the ministry's companies had re-operating 1,500 ground telephone lines in the other side of Nasiriyah city.
