Industrial engineering company, Intech Asia Process Automation recently completed a modification project for Qatar Petroleum (QP)’s process control and safety system at one of their offshore platforms.
The scope of the work included modifications on a running plant in an existing control system. The system is based on 13 PLC systems in a Duplex mode with redundant controller and a combination of Simplex/redundant IO. INTECH completed all the required modifications on an online system producing 110,000 barrels of oil per day and 70 million standard cubic feet of gas per day.
