The loan will come in the form of instalments to be provided up until the year 2003, reports KsaToday daily.

The World Bank has already agreed to grant Jordan an initial amount of $300 million to fund various government reform programs in the Kingdom.

According to Jordanian officials, the country has received $120 million of the total amount thus far. They added that the bank would provide Jordan with the remainder of the sum on condition that the funds are used solely for reform projects previously agreed upon.

Ten such projects exist, which include programs related to the fields of health, education, agriculture and tourism. –(MENA Report)
