The US-led Coalition Provisional Authority issued a notice on July 2, 2003, soliciting international air carriers to apply to provide commercial service to Iraq. The notice was distributed to airline industry organizations worldwide and all airlines are invited apply.
Air service to Baghdad International Airport will be limited initially to three daily round-trip flights (seven days per week), two of which will be regional (Middle East) and one international. The commencement date for commercial air service is still to be determined. — (menareport.com)
