Company Press Release:
Cairo, Egypt — CareerMidEast.com, the Middle East online recruitment solution, announced today the official launch of its network of regional recruitment websites. It is the first regional
Internet-based recruitment solution that uses the "anywhere, anytime" power of the Internet to bring people seeking to further their career with companies searching for the best talent in the region.
CareerEgypt.com was the first of these recruitment websites; it is now joined by its sister sites in 11 other Middle Eastern and North African countries, including CareerEmirates.com, CareerSaudi.com, CareerLebanon.com, CareerJordan.com, CareerTunis.com, CareerMorocco.com and CareerYemen.com.
Together, under the umbrella of CareerMidEast, these recruitment websites offer people in the Middle East who are looking for their first job, or looking to advance their career, with a powerful recruitment solution that is free of charge.
Companies looking for talented staff can subscribe to the service and access a vast base of candidates screened to meet their requirements, quickly and efficiently.
CareerMidEast.com has partnered with pre-eminent regional investment bank, EFG Hermes, which brings its financial muscle to the initiative. EFG-Hermes put 5 million Egyptian pounds (LE) in CareerMidEast.com recently.
"CareerMidEast.com is more than a comprehensive list of jobs on a website — it is a truly pioneering service," said Tarek Amin, chief marketing officer and one of the three young Egyptian entrepreneurs that founded CareerMidEast.com.
"We have developed a total recruitment solution which is designed to match the requirements of Middle East organizations, with complementary resources such as career information, personal and career evaluation tools, and company profiles, which help job seekers plan a career, rather than just get a job."
CareerMidEast.com has already built up a significant business, with over 75,000 CVs already archived on its secure servers. The recruiters database includes a diversified range of companies including start up companies, small scale local companies, medium to large local and regional companies and multinational companies like Raya Holdings, Sakhr Software, Click GSM, Orascom, Savola Sime, Unilever, Americana, Procter&Gamble, Nestle and Cadbury.
"The Internet is an ideal medium for recruitment," said Sherif Bishay, chief technical officer and co-founder of CareerMidEast.com, "Recruiters and job seekers have long had the challenge that physical location is a massive impediment to them being able to find the right people: an ideal
candidate may live in a town far away, and simply not hear of a position which exactly matches his or her qualifications."
"By using the Internet, CareerMidEast.com gets around all of these problems: it is discrete, fast, cost-effective, and has a reach over the whole region. Our secure servers ensure that confidentiality is ensured, while bringing thousands of employers and job seekers together quickly
and easily."
Job seekers can now search for opportunities any time of the day or night, in any country. Employers can advertise vacancies, and look for candidates, again at any time or from any location. The service is also a valuable tool for organizations such as trade unions, recruitment
agencies and educational institutions, looking for opportunities for their constituencies.
Sherif El Ghatrifi, chief operating officer and co-founder, concluded, "The Internet has broken all the rules of how a business can operate; all the rules, except one. Without good people with the right mix of knowledge and skills, an organization can never reach its potential. We see CareerMidEast.com as hugely powerful ally in matching the opportunities with the talents, to let this region become place where dot.com ventures can thrive."
