Iran has assured that it is dedicated to consolidating economic cooperation with Dubai, in order to develop business and diversify its tracks and programs with the Emirate.
President of the Iranian Business Council Abbas Bolufrushan and member of the Board Nasser Hashempour expressed their willingness to reinforce and support any economic or promotional activities for Dubai in Iran. This came during a meeting held at the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) with the General Manager Abdul Rahman Ghanim Al-Mutaiwee.
The two guests suggested facilitating meetings between economic figures in Dubai and Iranian Ministers determined to participate in their country's delegations taking part in Dubai 2003 meetings being held in September in Dubai.
From his side, Al-Mutaiwee assured the continuation of the mutual economic cooperation between the two countries, in addition to providing all that is necessary to elevate this cooperation to the highest levels.
It is worth mentioning that Iran is one of the primary commercial partners with the United Arab Emirate (UAE), as the bilateral economic and commercial relations between the two countries experienced a great development in the past few years, where the total trade exchanged through Dubai's harbors during 2001 amounted to 12 billion Emirati dirhams ($326 million), compared to Dh 4.3 billion in 1997, achieving an increment of 169 percent in just five years, with an annual growth percentage of 35.8 percent. — (menareport.com)
