Iran Energy Forum to be held in May in London

Iran Energy Forum—Upstream & Downstream, a two-day conference co-organized by the Iranian Association for Energy Economics and Institute for International Energy Studies, is scheduled to be held May 27-28, 2002, at the Millennium Mayfair Hotel, Grosvenor Square, London. 

 

Featuring keynotes from prominent senior officials from the Iranian Ministry of Petroleum, this conference will discuss the latest developments in Iran’s energy sector for international companies seeking investment opportunities in this new emerging market. 

 

Discussion will focus on strategies to double crude production by 2020 and the opportunities for foreign investors, strategies to develop the gas sector in Iran, the future of the buyback contract, a review of South Pars activities and associated investment opportunities. 

 

Other topics include petrochemicals and refining, emerging investment opportunities and different contractual options, export markets—Caspian, European Union, China and the sub-continent—future demand for OPEC oil output and producer-consumer dialogue, the Kyoto protocol, emissions trading and renewable energies, LNG, pipelines and transportation and technology transfer. — (menareport.com)
