ALBAWABA - Iran "temporarily interrupted" fuel distribution in Tehran after the recent US and Israeli attacks on the oil depots in the Iranian capital, according to AFP, citing an official.

Tehran's governor, Mohammad Sadegh Motamedian, told the IRNA news agency, "Due to damage to the fuel supply network, distribution has been temporarily interrupted." He added that they are working to resolve the issue.

An Iranian official reported on early Sunday morning that American-Israeli strikes targeted five fuel depots in and near the capital, Tehran, one of which was the Shahran oil depot. Videos of the incident flooded social media, capturing Tehran engulfed in heavy black smoke and massive fires.

Iran launched revenge attacks following attacks on the oil facilities last night, leading to the injury of at least 21 Israelis, the Magen David Adom (MDA) said, adding that all are minor injuries.

According to Al Jazeera, citing Fars News Agency, Tehran's governor slashed the fuel quota for residents from 30 litres per day to 20 litres. However, he added that residents should not worry, promising the slash will be reversed within two to three days.
