A 35,000-ton oil tanker ordered by the National Iranian Oil Tanker Company (NIOTC) and built by a Korean firm will be delivered to the company within the next 20 days, reports said Wednesday.
Director of planning affairs of NIOTC, Abdolsamad Ta’qol, told Mehr News Agency that the ship had cost $25 million. According to him, the NIOTC had ordered five 100,000-ton oil tankers that would cost the country $120 million.
Additionally, he commented on the purchase order of three 62,000-ton oil tankers considered for transport of Caspian crude and stressed that $52 million was invested in building those tankers. (menareport.com)
