The Iranian region of Maragheh exported 18.6 billion rials ($10.6 million) worth of agricultural products in the last three months of the nation’s calendar year, equivalent to 5,000 tons of merchandise, reported the city’s Standard and Industrial Research Department.

The Iranian New Year began on March 21. Commodities were exported to France, Morocco, China, Germany, Russia, Netherlands, Iraq, Canada, Bulgaria, Belgium, Kuwait, United Arab Emirates (UAE), Romania and Hong Kong.

Maragheh has always been regarded as one of the most important agricultural centers in Iran. It is well known for it's vast orchards and is one of the largest producers of a variety of grapes and different kinds of fruits, which account for a large percentage of its items for export. — (menareport.com)
