Iranians visit China to examine candidates for power plant tender

A delegation of the Iranian Ministry of Energy visited Beijing, as part of a campaign to attract foreign companies to participate in a tender for projects to upgrade the power plant capacities in Bandar Abbas, Qazvin, Azerbaijan and Kermanshah to 4,000 megawatts, reported IRNA, the Iranian news agency. 

 

While in the Chinese capital, the delegation met with Shi Guangsheng, China's minister of foreign trade and economic cooperation (MOFTEC).  

 

It also visited the factories and plants in Bejing, as well as Shanghai and Cheng Du, with the aim of examining companies which may take part in the tender. 

 

Musa Refan, an advisor to Iran's Ministry of Energy and president of Iranian Power Plant Project Management Company (MAPNA) said that companies from Germany, France, England, Spain, Switzerland, Japan, South Korea and China have announced their readiness to take part in the tender. – (Albawaba-MEBG)
