Iran’s shrimp export revenues would amount to 26 million euros before the termination of the current Iranian year (March 20, 2005), said on Saturday, Arsalan Qasemi, the managing director of Iran’s Aquaculture Cooperatives Union on Saturday.
Each year, 95 percent of the shrimp production is exported, he told ISNA, adding the country’s revenues from exporting shrimps with an output of 5000 tons were 20 million euros in the previous year. The figure, with the shrimp production of 7000 tons has been increased to 25-26 million euros in the current year.
