Iraqi officials received a delegation Monday from Cyprus to discuss ways to expand trade relations between the two countries, the official Iraqi News Agency said.

A delegation, which included representatives from 13 Cypriot businesses and Nicosia's foreign ministry, was received by Trade Minister Mohamed Mahdi Saleh.

"The meeting focuses on the ways to expand bilateral cooperation so that it reaches the levels from before" the 1990 Gulf conflict, the agency said.

The Cypriots arrived Sunday and were already received by Agriculture Minister Abdel Ilah Abdel Hamid to discuss "the possibility of Cyprus selling Iraq agricultural equipment, insecticides and pumps to extract water from agricultural wells," according to INA.— (AFP, Baghdad)
