Iraq signs deals with German and Indian firms

The Iraqi Ministry of Oil signed contracts with German and Indian oil pipeline manufacturing companies. These contracts aim to carry gas from Basra to
Nasirriya and then to Al-Masib by $50 million costs. Mr. Ahmed Al-Shamaa,
Undersecretary of Oil Ministry, said that the Iraqi cabinet is currently evaluating financing $180 million worth of contracts. These contracts were signed with American companies in the area of gas pressing and with Dutch and Indian companies in the area of oil pipelines, the undersecretary added.
