Iraq's preparations for the agricultural summer season are in full swing.
The State Enterprise for Chemical Fertilizers - Southern Region (S.E.C.F.) has notified the presidential bureau that it has attained the goals set for production and supply of fertilizers regarding the upcoming summer season. The general manager, Mr. Abd al Amir Saleh Abdallah, stated that such an achievement was realized due to the full utilization of all resources and production lines, reports the Jumhuria daily.
The S.E.C.F - Southern Region estimated production levels for the first half of the current year, will enable the supply of 200,000 tons of fertilizer. Based on these estimates, additional capacity will allow for supply of urea and ammonia liquids to the State Enterprise for Phosphates. According to Abdallah, the S.E.C.F. - Southern Region has succeeded in identifying and acquiring alternate fertilizer components, which reduce the production costs associated with the acquisition of foreign raw materials.
