IRAQNA, the first mobile telephony service in Iraq's central region launched its Monthly Services last week. Authorized distributors, dealers, and Points of Sale (POS) of IRAQNA will be able to supply their customers with this service.

The Monthly Service will allow the customer to purchase a line, subscribe to a monthly fee, and buy a scratch card. IRAQNA was awarded a license in December to provide services in the central region of Iraq.

“Over the last few weeks, IRAQNA was very successful in launching the “IRAQNA Business” product to over 15,000 customers in Iraq,” said Chief Commercial Officer of IRAQNA, Fred Whol. The monthly service will provide to its customers lines at a $69 one time fee. The monthly service subscription fee is $9.90 a month, to be automatically deducted from the scratch card credit that will be available in two denominations of $20 and $30, providing airtime usage in advance.

IRAQNA is the brand name of Orascom Telecom Iraq (OTI). The major shareholder of OTI is the Egyptian based company, Orascom Telecom Holding (OTH). — (menareport.com)
