Gitex Cairo, the Egyptian version of Dubai’s influential information technology trade fair, received a boost with the announcement by a number of Italian companies that they intend to exhibit at the event. Gitex Cairo will take place at the Cairo International Conference Center from April 4-7, reported the Dubai World Trade Center, the Gitex organizer.
Among the organizations arranging the Italian presence are Smau, the second largest ICT event worldwide, Promos, an agency of the Milan Chamber of Commerce for international activities, Fiera Milano and Feram I&CT. The four have teamed up to support an Italian presence at the show, a press release from the Dubai World Trade Center reported.
"Gitex Cairo offers an excellent opportunity for European-based firms to make inroads in markets in Egypt, North Africa and the Levant region,” said Dijana Likie, the international project manager for Gitex Cairo.
“We are delighted that the organizers of some of Europe's most successful ICT fairs recognize the opportunities Gitex Cairo presents for their exhibitors and are willing to work with us to help them access neighboring markets.” ¯ (Albawaba-MEBG)
