Jaakko Poyry awarded $2.3 million paper mill engineering contract in Egypt

Jaakko Pöyry AB, the Swedish forest Industry subsidiary of Finland’s technology consulting and engineering group Jaakko Poyry Group Oyj, has been awarded an engineering contract by Jordan’s Nugul Group, for a new tissue paper machine to be installed at the Al-Bardi paper mill in Egypt. The value of the contract is two-million euro ($2.33 million). 

 

The services for the tissue paper machine project include basic and detail engineering as well as site services for a tissue paper machine with a production capacity of 70 000 t/a. The new machine is scheduled to start up in early 2005. The project will be carried out by Jaakko Pöyry AB's Karlstad office, which is Jaakko Pöyry's tissue technology center. 

 

Jaakko Pöyry AB has cooperated with Nugul Group in the past. In 1990 the company provided engineering services for Al-Bardi's PM1 project. The Forest Industry business group, operating under the brand name Jaakko Pöyry, had net sales of 175 million euro in 2002. The Forest Industry business group has offices in 18 countries and employs some 2150 experts worldwide. — (menareport.com)
