Al-Tayer Motors, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) importer-dealer for automotive manufacturer Jaguar, has reported a 98 percent increase in car sales during March 2004 compared to the same month last year, resulting in a Middle East sales record for the brand.

Demand in the UAE is reflective of the success that Jaguar enjoyed globally during March, where one-month sales reached an all-time high. In the UAE, sales were driven by the the new flagship XJ model, launched in summer 2003, and the S-TYPE.

Al-Tayer Motors was established in 1982 and has showrooms in Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi and Ras Al-Khaimah. It represents major automobile manufacturers Ford, Lincoln, Mercury, Jaguar, Ferrari and Maserati across the UAE and Land Rover, MG and Rover in Dubai and the Northern Emirates. — (menareport.com)
