Japan will give Sudan US$ 1.02 million to help reconstruct fisheries through the Trust Fund for Human Security for the program, according to the Japanese Foreign Ministry.
According to <i>KUNA</I>, the money will be directed to for projects, led by the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), aimed at restructuring the fishing industry for the war-affected people in southern Sudan.
The Trust Fund for Human Security was established in the UN Secretariat in 1999 by the initiative of Japanese government with total contributions of USD 256 million.
