Some 920 companies, which were expected to participate in Jeddah Real Estate Financing & Housing Exhibition, which was opened on February 20, did not show up eventually, reported the Saudi newspaper, Al-Watan.
A limited number of companies from four countries, Saudi Arabia, the Untied Arab Emirates, Egypt and Lebanon, participated in the exhibition, despite the fact that invitations were sent to more than 1,000 companies. Several economists mentioned that it was mistake to hold the exhibition at the same time of Jeddah Economic Forum.
