Joint GCC stock market crucial for region, says Oman's Minister of Finance

In a comment by Omani Minister of Commerce and Industry Maqboul bin Ali Sultan on Wednesday, the minister said that is was crucial to establish a joint GCC stock market.

 

Sultan stated that coordination between stock markets in the Gulf region was extremely important for the economic performance and stability of the region.

 

He added that a study was currently underway to investigate the possibility of establishing such a joint market, reported <i>KUNA</i>.

 

Sultan added that GCC economic cooperation should extend to include financial markets and supervisory bodies to allow GCC investors the option of choosing between all GCC market shares.
