Jordan’s 2002 budget allocates $700 million to investment program

The Jordanian Treasury Minister, Michel Marto stated that the newly approved general budget for 2002 allocated 500,000 Jordanian Dinars ($705 million) to an investment program in the Kingdom, equal to 21.2 percent of the total budget, reported Al-Sharq Al-Awsat . The minister added that the investment program presently focuses on education, health, vocational training and fighting unemployment. — (menareport.com)
