The Egyptian Minister of International Planning and Cooperation, Ahmed Al-Darsh, on a recent trip to Jordan, held discussions with his colleague, Wael Sabri, the Jordanian Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources.
According to Al-Rai newspaper, these discussions focused on the possibility of establishing a natural gas link project between the two countries, following the success of the joint electricity link project already established.
The two ministers reviewed the exchange of electrical energy on a permanent basis and included in their discussions subjects related to preparations for the upcoming 17th meeting of the joint higher committee.
Recently, the Egyptian cabinet has already agreed to supply Turkey with natural gas via Al-Arish, enabling Jordan to receive a portion of this gas. –(Albawaba-MEBG)
