Jordan-Bahrain review bilateral ties, regional issues

King Abdullah and Bahrain's Emir Sheikh Hamad Ben Issa Al-Khalifa on Sunday held talks in Manama on bilateral cooperation and the current regional situation.  

 

During the meeting, King Abdullah and Sheikh Hamad discussed plans and steps to further strengthen joint relations and boost cooperation. Both parties agreed that increasing trade volume and implementing joint projects will positively reflect on the two nations.  

 

The two leaders reiterated demands to immediately halt acts of violence and aggression against the Palestinian people, stressing that international efforts should focus on achieving such a goal. King Abdullah and Sheikh Hamad stressed their countries' full support for the Palestinians in their quest to reclaim their legitimate rights and establish their independent state.  

 

King Abdullah arrived in Bahrain after concluding a three-day visit to Oman where he discussed with Sultan Qaboos joint Arab action in light of the current developments in the region and issues of mutual concern to their countries. — ( Jordan Times )
