President of the Jordan Businessmen Association (JBA) Hamdi Tabaa on Wednesday discussed with Commercial Attache at the Egyptian Embassy in Amman Mohammad Abdullah, means of forging closer economic and trade relations between the two countries.
Tabaa highlighted the role that could be played by the JBA to develop relations between Jordan and Egypt.
He also stressed the need to enhance trade exchange and increase exports to the Egyptian market.
Trade exchange between the two countries is in favor of Egypt , as the Kingdom's imports to the North African Arab country stood at JD535 million last year while exports amounted to JD80 million.
The JBA president called for removing obstacles facing the flow of goods and services between the two countries.
The Egyptian official said his country was keen to further strengthen economic with Jordan and encourage meetings between businessmen from both countries.
