Cultivation and trading of flowers increased sharply over the past few years in the kingdom of Jordan. Some 120 producers are currently active in the Jordanian market, exporting about 5 million flowers per annum.
Mazen Ghilani, a producer and Amman flower market director, was quoted as saying by Petra news agency that Jordanian flowers have recently reached Netherlands, the world's leading flower market, to test exporting opportunities for this market.
