The Jordan University for Science and Technology (JUST) Provident and Investment Funds have chosen Atlas Investment Group (Atlas) as their Investment Manager.
The Jordan University for Science and Technology Investment Fund (JIF) and its Provident Fund (JPF) signed an investment management agreement with Atlas to be the Funds' investment manager and to manage the assets on a discretionary basis.
JUST signed an investment advisory agreement with Atlas last May with regard to its investment in CyberCity, which owns and manages one of the Qualified Industrial Zones (QIZ's) in Jordan.
Atlas will perform its full asset management duties including asset allocation and stock selection. Atlas will also construct a well-defined investment policy statement for JIF and JPF that clearly identifies the funds' investment objectives, risk tolerance and investment constraints along with an asset allocation strategy that fits the funds' investment preferences.
JIF is the University's endowment fund and was established to provide a second source of income to the University. JUST, established in 1986, encompasses 10 faculties offering 31 specializations, and deanship of graduate studies and academic research. Over 12,000 students are currently registered.
Atlas is the leading investment banking firm in Jordan providing integrated customer-driven, advisory services, including asset management, corporate finance, and regional brokerage services. Atlas also provides its clients with in-depth macro and micro research servicing international as well as regional, institutional funds investing in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. Atlas' Asset Management Division is the largest and most active in Jordan, specializing in discretionary portfolio management for provident and endowment funds, private equity, structured products, and investment advisory services. — (menareport.com)
