With positive first quarter tourism figures and modern attractions on the rise, Jordan is set to become one of the most popular holiday spots for Middle East travelers according to a Grand Hyatt Amman spokesperson.

Amman, the capital city of Jordan, has seen an increase in city life with new restaurants, social venues, and cutting edge design on the rise.

The Jordanian Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities revealed a total of 1,387,627 visitors for the first quarter of 2007- a significant increase compared to 2006. “Jordan has seen a growth in the number of modern travellers looking for luxury as part of their holiday experience whether traveling on business or for pleasure,” said Thierry Bertin, Area Director of Marketing in the Middle East, Hyatt International Hotels and Resorts.

With the development of modern hotels and restaurants, cities like Amman are set to become a favorite destination for the trendy and fashionable traveller,’” he added.

Grand Hyatt Amman, located in the heart of the business and diplomatic district, has recently completed the final phase of renovation with the opening of the new Grand Club Lounge in May this year.

Located on the 9th floor of the hotel and offering stunning views of Amman’s skyline, the Grand Club Lounge is an exclusive private lounge accessible for Grand Club room customers.

The opening of the Grand Club Lounge follows the successful introduction of 32º North, The Lounge and The Terrace, the hotel’s other popular venues. Designed for the chic and young at heart, these three upscale, stylish venues take dining and entertaining to a complete new dimension with their unique interior design complimenting the singular food and beverage concepts.
