Jordanian banks operating in the Palestinian territories witnessed a deposit decrease of 100 million Jordanian dinars ($143 million) last February. Deposits currently total JD1.6 billion dinars ($2.3 billion) compared to JD 1.7 billion last year.
There are eight Jordanian banks operating 53 branches in the Palestinian territories, 59 percent of the total financial institutions in the PA. They are the Arab Bank, Cairo Amman Bank, Bank of Jordan, Jordan National Bank, Housing Bank of Jordan, Jordan Gulf Bank, Union Bank for Savings and Investment and the Jordan Kuwaiti Bank. — (menareport.com)
