ALBAWABA - An announcement has been made by a major local company to offer 100 job vacancies to individuals affected by recent events or those who have had to leave their jobs due to their stance on the boycott campaigns. This initiative is extended to employees working for any company supporting the occupying entity, or considering leaving their job due to the conflict.

Following the joint offensive by Israel, in alliance with Western nations (the United States, France, Britain, and Germany), boycott campaigns have been initiated in many parts of the world, particularly in Arab and Islamic countries. These campaigns target any products representing the nations that have directly supported the occupying entity. As a result, many employees in such establishments have lost their jobs or are at risk of doing so.

Anas Abu Auda, Marketing Director of a well-known and widespread local coffee brand in Jordan - Marouf Coffee, announced the company's intention to provide 100 job opportunities for individuals with prior experience in global companies. The company posted on its social media, stating its commitment to offering these job vacancies for those who have been affected by recent events or have taken a stand.

Abu Auda explained that this announcement is just the first phase and that additional announcements may follow, as the company seeks to support those affected and align with its stance against aggression on Gaza. He also hinted at upcoming campaigns.

The company is dedicated to enhancing trust in local products, increasing their contribution to the national economy, and providing as many employment opportunities as possible. The company had previously allocated financial support to Gaza from its proceeds and allowed its employees to donate a day's work.

Shahrazad Abu Alfilat, a manager at a local restaurant, has also decided to hire several young people who lost their jobs, stating that it is essential for local companies to come together to support those affected by the boycott campaigns against certain global brands and chains. She emphasized that no one should be forced to resign from their job, as personal and living circumstances differ, but companies can contribute to providing alternative employment options that encourage change.

She noted that while their restaurant might be smaller compared to some global chains and food companies, they will strive to accommodate as many employees as possible, given their national and social responsibilities. She urged larger companies to also play their part in this regard.

Economic expert Dr. Qasim Al-Hamouri highlighted the importance of the social responsibility of economic and business institutions and their role in supporting those who have lost their jobs due to boycott campaigns against global brands. He pointed out that local institutions can employ these workers, and in return, these workers can contribute a portion of their earnings to the companies, which would result in increased sales and profits due to their positive direction.

It's worth noting that Jordan is primarily grappling with high unemployment rates, reaching 21.9% during the first quarter of the current year, with the male unemployment rate at 19.6% and the female unemployment rate at 30.7%
