Jordanian exports to American markets increased by 333 percent to 130 million Jordanian dinars in the first 10 months of 2001, up from JD 30 million during the same period in the previous year, according to Jordanian Ministry of Commerce and Industry figures, reported Al-Rai .
Jordanian exports to the UK grew to JD 13.8 million in the first 10 months of 2001, up from JD 6.9 million during the same period of the previous year. The Ministry also reported that the value of Jordanian imports increased from JD 3.8 million to JD 14.7 million during the same period.
The value of total Jordanian exports increased by 21 percent from JD 902 million to JD 1.091 billion in the first 10 months of the current year. — (menareport.com)
