Recently published statistics by the Jordanian Chief Statistics Bureau indicate that the number of available hotel rooms in the Kingdom increased by 60 percent between the years 1995-2000, reported Al-Rai.
The same source added that 4.6 million people visited Jordan in 2000, compared with 3.9 million in 1990. The number of travelers leaving the country also grew from 3.7 million in 1990 to 4.1 million in 2000. — (menareport.com)
