Jordan’s Al-Fadel Construction Company has been commissioned by the Jordan Projects for Tourism Development (JPTD) to build the first phase of the Tala Bay Project. The preliminary construction stage has a target date of completion set for the end of 2003.

The first phase includes the construction of seven buildings to be used for both commercial and residential purposes, reported Jordan Times. JPTD is the owner, developer and operator of the Tala Bay. It is JPTD’s largest project and is located on the southern shore of Jordan about 14 kilometers south of the city of Aqaba.

The project consists of an integrated tourist and residential community to be built on approximately 2.671 million square meters of land. Tala Bay will have its own complete infrastructure, providing the various hotels and residences with roads, electricity, water, communications and other utilities. Once the project is operational, JPTD will also facilitate security, maintenance, and other municipality type services to its residents. — (menareport.com)
