Jumbo aligns and consolidates IT businesses

Jumbo Electronics in a move to generate synergy between business lines has merged its Information Technology (IT) division with the Enterprise Sales division. This is part of a grand plan to surge ahead with a range of IT products and services as well as expand the market it operates in. 

 

The new look IT division has been segmented into four business lines on basis of products and services offered by each. These are Infrastructure Technology, Software Solutions and Services, Enterprise Systems and Volume Products Group.  

 

The Infrastructure Technology Services group provides solutions that address the infrastructure needs of large corporations in the area of cabling, networking, LAN telephony, and wireless and advanced security solutions. Delivering smart infrastructure to its clients through alliances with industry leaders, it is supported by a team of highly experienced and skilled technical professionals, and a world-class support and service organization. 

 

The Software Solutions and Services group focuses on emerging technologies and business critical solutions, which directly impact the profitability of an organization. Thus it adds significant value to its customers by reducing costs, improving processes and increasing productivity. This group has developed necessary silks in implementing industry-leading solutions - Air2Web, Microsoft Great Plains, SMS, JDA and others. 

 

The Enterprise Systems group provides leading IT products and services such as High Availability and Storage Systems. A team of highly experienced professionals and strong alliances with industry leaders - IBM, 3COM, Acer, Sony, SEDCO and Microsoft - enable it to provide solutions that deliver maximum value and total satisfaction. 

 

The Volume Products group distributes and retails major brands such as Compaq, IBM, Fujitsu Siemens, Acer, Palm, and Epson. This group mainly deals in consumer products, with a special focus on laptops, through various dealers and power retailers in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) as well as other markets in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC),  

 

Jumbo was founded in the UAE in 1974. With retail strength of 32 showrooms and seven service centers, their presence today encompasses all the Emirates. The company is also one of the largest Sony distributors in the world. — (menareport.com)
