The King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF) in partnership with Fastlink, One of MTC group companies; have launched the “Towards Life” campaign for the fourth consecutive year. The company seeks to support KHCF’s efforts in raising extra funds for the benefit of The King Hussein Cancer Center (KHCC), the Foundation’s medical arm. This in return will help KHCC maintain and elevate state-of-the-art comprehensive cancer care it provides to cancer patients in line with international standards.
As the official sponsor of the campaign, Fastlink has provided KHCF with a JD 50,000 cheque to support the campaign that was first launched in 2003. Fastlink has also announced that it would send around one million SMSs to its subscribers during the Holy Month of Ramadan urging them to contribute and donate to the benefit of the campaign.
Citizens who wish to contribute to this campaign may send an SMS through Fastlink to number (97070) writing the word “Life” in English or “Haya حياة” in Aarbic. One JD would be collected as a donation for each SMS sent and will be channeled to the benefit of KHCF.
In this regards, HRH Princess Dina Mired, Director General of the King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF), thanked Fastlink for its continued support to this campaign as well as for their long-term partnership with the Foundation which is considered to be fundamental. This partnership supports the work of the King Hussein Cancer Center (KHCC) in delivering the best comprehensive cancer care to its patients by integrating the physical, emotional, social, environmental and spiritual needs of each individual patient.
HRH Princess Dina also expressed appreciation to all organizations that will support this campaign for this year. These organizations include: Jordan Television, Mobile Interactive Technologies (MIT), Kassab International, Al Nader Advertising Co. LLC, Pikasso Jordan LLC, Spot Sign Company (Kattab) Ad-Dustour Newspaper, Al-Rai Newspaper, The Jordan Times, Al Arab Al Yawm Newspaper, Al-Ghad Newspaper, Al-Mumtaz Newspaper, Fann FM, Amman Net Radio, Mazaj Radio, Rotana Radio, Mood FM, Radio Play, Beat FM, Ahlan Magazine, Jo Magazine, Living Well, Home, Business Jordan, Sharqiyat, Rama Magazine, Bayti Magazine, and Anti Magazine.

HRH Princess Dina added that because of this vital support, the Center was able to receive the much sought after Accreditation from the “Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO)”. KHCC is the only Center in Jordan and the fourth in the region who has received this recognition that is considered to be the ultimate independent stamp of quality a hospital can achieve.
“The company is committed to supporting the “Towards Life” campaign annually,” said Fastlink’s CEO Saad Nasir, adding that this is part of the company’s role to serve all sectors of society. Nasir noted that Fastlink is also raising awareness through sending SMSs to encourage citizens to take part in the campaign in order to provide support for cancer patients.
